Annette Den Ouden – De Fotogravin

Discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes.

Annette Den Ouden graduated at the Academy of Visual Arts in Rotterdam in 1988 and lives in Amsterdam. She received het first Stipend of the Foundation of Visual Arts Design and Architecture (FBKVB) in 1990 and set off on a photo trip around the world that would last 20 months. Thanks to another grant she travelled for ten months exploring Tibet, Ladakh and the Tibetans in exile in the refugee camps in India. She’s still ‘en photo route’ anywhere in the world from three to six months out of the year making her documentary photos and composing series for exhibitions and/or publications.
